All glasses used in TGP Glazing Systems are tempered glass. Tempered glass is durable in case of wind or impact.The glasses in the glass balcony systems are tempered glass systems. When tempered glass is broken, it breaks into small pieces in direct proportion to the size of the glass membrane. The tempered glass also increases the resistance of the glass against impact and heat. Thus, glasses that are 5-6 times more durable than normal glasses are obtained in glass balcony systems.

Tempered glasses, also called safety glasses, have the same properties as the glasses used in automobile windows. Glasses, which are cut differently according to their dimensions and whose edges are treated, are heated up to their softening points, and the glass surface gains a pre-tension for a maximum pressure of 10,000 PSI. Glasses that are specially heat treated are more resistant to all kinds of adverse conditions than normal glasses.
